Like Rick, I use a USB drive but was using PowerQuest's Drive Image.  Since
then, Symantec bought them and the product is now called Symantec LiveState
Recovery Desktop 3.0.  It also copies who partitions, not sure about Ghost
now, but DI had a partition explorer that allowed you to restore selected
files and not the whole partition - because sometimes that's all you want to
do.

But I am concerned with Symantec.  They always seem to drop products without
notice (Mobile Essentials was one I relied on for a while.  Thank goodness
IBM has a ThinkPad utility that does the same...)
