Gary Dietz previously posted a concern about some rumor he heard
about HP not selling the Open Market Web Server for the HP 3000.

I just got off the phone with Rose Chiovari from HP and there is
nothing to worry about...here is a synopsis of what she reported
to me (it is all good):

1. The rumor was probably started because they are in the annual
contract re-negotiation period and due to vacations and such the
contract renewal was delayed. It is only a matter of time before
the contracts are signed off. In the mean time HP is actively
selling the OM product (they have prepaid royalties that cover
this period until a new contract is signed).

2. The OM Web Server offerings are very strategic to the 3000.

3. The OM Secure Web Server will be added to the Corporate Price List
   on December 1, 1996.

4. HP will be attending Internet World with the HP 3000 and OM Web Server
   Products.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
It appears that HP is really moving forward on this front. I applaud them
for their efforts and especially Rosie for being so open and candid with
me when I called.
