12 Ksam XL files are opened at the same time(once throughout the whole program). The intrinsics FCONTROL 2, FCHECK and FLOCK are used on the KSAM files. During the process of transferring records (using SPL) from one KSAM file to another sometimes several copies of the same KSAM file getting opened up (because the same PIN appears repeatedly with LISTF KSAMXL,9) randomly on some of the 12 KSAM files.

Could some kind of buffer condition, io timing or the way the KSAM file was built could cause such a hiccup???

Thank you,
