WOW!!  I sent out a request to this list on Monday asking if anyone had
purchased a DVDAUDIO (or SACD) player, and did they think it measured up to
the hype (as in the sound from DVDAUDIO/SACD is better than CD like the
video from HD is better than standard TV).

I got not one taker...are there no folks out there that have even ventured
into this sonic arena?   :-)

In some respects the SACD (SONY corp) vs. the DVDAUDIO (the rest of the
world) kinda reminds me of days of old, and the battle between VHS and Beta.

I recently purchased a new DVD player that supports both of the new audio
formats, but my audio receiver does not have the inputs (there are up to 6
coming from the devices that support the new audio formats), and while my
receiver is old, I wouldn't want to replace it for the audio format if the
sound isn't worth the money (I know, that's purely subjective concept).  :-)
