I checked this digest and besides my posts on the Battle of the Somme and
Hitler will mention an interesting thing about the long-running fan on our
917 LX - It was making some intermittent noise - so I decided to take our
portable vacuum - give the front ventilation "vents" a going over, and the
fan is now quiet.

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense - will a fan make noise if it is
starved for air?

Doesn't make sense - I just report it ;-)

Bill and his 917 which "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' "
