maybe a LISTF,8 or LISTF,9 can give you a useful list of
IP addresses. For regular PING.NET.SYS you need NA or NM
capabilities, as far as I recall. However, there used to
be a "tweaked" version on Jazz (or somesuch) that has the
capability check removed. For IP-to-NetBIOS name you do
not use smbclient, but nmblookup with -A option.
