     Hello Steve,

HP9K has its discussion group HPMINI-L

You may like to find out your specific question by doing the search on
     its archives.

There are also couple of mailing lists related to UNIX.

I stepped into a HP3000 / HP9000 environment w/ 0 MPE, Unix, COBOL,
etc. background -- & have learned more about the HP3000 from the
seemingly omniscient & generous members of this list than any other
source (enough to survive). I of course naively assume similar people &
lists exist out there for other systems ... maybe not all, but at least the
HP9000? I'm looking for a list address for HP9k if anyone has one.

FWIW, The specific HP9k issue at hand is:
recent activity on one of our HP9k's (D210) by others with Root access
has caused ?? to be added to the system...

I have a good FBACKUP that I can restore to, but I'm under the impression
that I need to blow away the volume set, reinstall the OS, then
FRESTORE... all just to make sure the xtra ?? stuff gets removed
(otherwise, just FRESTORE)

I wouldn't mind getting feedback from a similarly competent & generous
bunch of hp9k'ers before going forward (& getting stuck...)

Any help ?(& sorry about the waste of quality bandwidth)
Steve
