We have run paper through both our HP Printers and our (non-HP) copier a
second time; sometimes because a blank sheet was spit out, sometimes because
we were manually duplexing (before we bought the new printer that had a
duplexer). The only thing that really affected our ability to do it
successfully was which side of the paper was used first. The paper we
bought always had an indicator as to which side should be printed on
first. As long as we followed that, we didn't have any problems that could
be attributed to the paper. If we didn't, the paper would often curl funny
or jam.
If the wrapping on your paper has such an indicator, I'd follow it. If it
doesn't, and you're having problems, try turning the paper over and see if
it works better.
