Yes! This is the real issue facing many of us single-users trying
to stay in the '3000 development business. Although I was very
happy with the hardware package (S917/LX) pricing available through
the HP Channel Partner Program, the Software Support costs rapidly
deplete the old bank account, since no discounts are offered for
either less than 8/20 users or for development partners. Although
I am a 1-person business, I actually need a machine that can handle
8 sessions for development and testing purposes--but only 1 physical
user (me). I believe and have recommended in the past that CSY
should offer some kind of discount on software support for
development/test partners who spend all of their time developing
on and for MPE/iX systems. Speaking for myself, I believe this
issue should be resolved first, although I have no objection to
a 2-user 3000/7XX package being offered as well (even though
it would not meet my needs).
