Distinguished List Members,

<RANTING ON>

Anytime I can get some of MY money back and take it out of the GOVERNMENTS
control, I'm happy. I certainly know how to spend/invest it better than any
politician can or would. Geeeeeze people, if you don't want your OWN MONEY
back, please endorse your checks over to me and send them to:

John McAdams
2703 S.E. 66th
Portland, OR  97206

I will use your generous donations to reduce the deficit. My personal deficit
that is. Thank you in advance.

To those who calculate that they may owe the IRS money at the end of the year,
put your check in a BANK or CREDIT UNION and earn some interest on it, then at
the end of the year, you'll have the money you'll need. Of course you will have
to report that interest as income and therefore pay taxes on it. However, you
won't be giving Uncle Sam a interest free loan all year. Although, if you'd
like to give me an interest free loan for the rest of the year, contact me at
the above address. I could use about $45,000 right now, maybe more!

If you're one those who is griping that you're not receiving the maximum amount,
get a better paying job. It takes a taxable income of only $12,000 to get back
the $600 (this is the married bracket of course.) I doubt many list members
fall into this category.

Just like most, I like the occasional OT post but, please, can we now resume
acting grown up, quit all of this whining, and go back to HP 3000 issues? If
you don't like the people who represent you (and approved this bill and signed
it into LAW), you've got the power to change it all. VOTE! No matter how flawed
you may think our system is, I still think it's one of the best in the world.

If you'd like to respond or flame me please do so off list.

<RANTING OFF>

Respectfully,

John E. McAdams
