This is as untrue as possible. I currently have an Epson and a Okidata
printer connected to my HP3000. They happen to be directly connected
through a DTC, but you can also use any printer via the network.

Now your main problem is the upcoming bruised ego in IT.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Can HP 3000 print to non-HP Printers?

I am being told that the HP 3000 only can print to HP. We just put in a
Gestetner copier (networked), and the gestetner vendor is saying that
it will accept all languages. However our IT person is saying we can't
print from the 3000 to it.

This seems odd and I am inclined not to believe it. If we can print to
printers like HP laserjets why can't we print to other printers that
use similar technologies and interfaces??

Can someone let me know if this is true or even point me at where to
find the answer.

Thanks
N. Yodpunya
