Reflection (sic) Fast File Transfer uses more than one port to
accomplish its ends, so it actually uses more than your current
connection.
If for any reason access to the extra port(s) is denied, which can be
due to firewall settings, and/or your network guy with too much time on
his hands futzing around with the working system until something breaks,
then your file transfers won't work any more with FFT turned on.
Turning FFT off means that Reflection will restrict itself to just your
current connection, so it will work, albeit more slowly. I've measured
this at 3/8ths of the FFT speed.
The permanent remedy, where local State laws allow, is to administer
clue to the network guy, with a 2 by 4 cluebat....
