Hello Gary,
We are using Mannesmann Tally Line printers for years as our system
printers.
We have a MT691 and MT661, and they are connected via rs-232 on our dtc.
We had to configure it with termtype 18, but the risk is that we could loose
reports when the power is shut off.
I tried a few years ago to put them on a jetdirect box, and configure them
as network printers on my hp3000.
I had a lot of garbage, because there is a PJL dialog between the jetdirect
box and the printer. My MT printers doesn't support PJL language ...
I tried to add the line
pjl_supported = false
in the npconfig.pub.sys file, but there was still a minimum dialog between
the jetdirect box and the printer.
So, I didn't find a valid issue, and I'm still using then on my dtc.
Best regards.
Beghein Johan.
