DTC48 vs DCT72

Having a strange problem here. I have a number of users trying to copy
and paste from WordPerfect 6.x for Windows and Reflection 1 for Windows
4.x. Those users connected to the HP3000/947 via the DCT72 have no
problem. However, those users connected via the DTC48 lose most of the
information that they are pasting. I know that the NMMGR is slightly
different and has different options between the '48 and '72 but what is
it that needs to be changed?
