I was not bragging about the (relatively short) time the system has been
running, but rather the length of the session.  I guess old habits die hard,
even though the console is definitely not used (witness the minuscule CPU
time,) it stays logged on as long as the system is up.

To this official record should be added 1 year, as the only reason the
machine
had to be rebooted was to replace the UPS it is plugged in to. And the only
reason to reboot the machine 1 year prior was a power failure that outlasted
the UPS - so add another year. Actually, this machine has been running
without
problems since 11-2-2003, other than external problems generally power
related.
