Jim,

The HP3000 is a symmetric multiprocessor computer.  That means it will use any
processor that is available at any given time to do its work.  You don't have to
do anything special except for plugging in the new processor, updating its CPU
ID string (HP CE updates the ID) and paying MOST of the third party vendors
their upgrade fees now that you have a much more powerful box! ;)
