Hmmm.    We just had a similar DTC problem, but with telnet
connections, not serial(just went from 5.5 exp2 to exp3).  Telnet
sessions would get the 'Connecting...' message and then hang forever.
NSVT was fine.

I could ping the DTC and Telnet card successfully from the HP3000 and
the user could successfully connect to the DTC, but the DTC was not
passing that through the user connection to the HP3000.

I do as well.

Rather than debug the DTC problem, I upped my priority to implement
the Telnet server directly on the HP3000. Telnet users are now back
on and the DTC and Openview station will soon be shut down.
