Tracy,
Try putting a carriage return in before the quit- looks like dbgenerl is
expecting another database name and a carriage return should bring you
back to the menu options where quit or exit will be recognized.

Subject: [HP3000-L] DBGENALT Hangs
Bradmark and VESoft are on Texas and California time
so I thought I'd ask the list first:
I recently tried using the DBGENALT command of MPEX
and after it attempts to modify the first dataset the
terminal or job hangs.
I've been through at least one upgrade of MPEX,
DBGeneral, and MPE, since I last used DBGENALT.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is the problem
with MPEX, DBGeneral, or am I missing some config
variable?
The end of my DBGENALT command ends with a "QUIT"
parameter. Either DBGeneral or MPEX doesn't
understand this and the session or job hangs.
