Another way is to make a full backup of your applications and data. After you
checked your backup, go for an install of MPE 6.0 with the appropriate
PowerPatches.

It might save some time, I do not know if it really saves time because we have
update to 5.5 before Y2k already.

Choose what you think is best. Updating 2 times and keeping your data on the
system or go for an install. The install maybe harder for you, because you will
need to reconfigure your hardware devices.
