Brice,

whenever I listen or read about this, I hear from GWB: Stay the course.
Even so I have no idea what that course is and it was never mentioned.
Right from the beginning I read&heard: STAY THE COURSE
WHAT COURSE?

------------------------

THE COURSE is to act against terrorism and establish soem sort of
Democracy in Iraq.

-------------------------

From most others I hear:
give us a time-frame
give us an estimate of the costs,
make a plan, in case it doesn't work out (Very possible)

---------------------------

Without details on what Iran and other rogue nations plans are and the
resources they are willing to commit, how do you make a plan? No war
has been won that way. It is like the economic plan for a grocery store
before the competition declares a price war. Or the plan for the
airline companies before 9-11.

---------------------------

When I recall the election-campaigne, George and Dick both told that we
would reduce troops, that cost would be below 300 billion.
I remember the attack by Dick when Edwards mentioned 300 Billion at least
at total cost.

Therefore it seems to me, that George, Dick, Rummy and that bunch have no
clue, no plan and no idea. Maybe it is true, that they want to fight the
Vietnam war again. Neither one of them was there and knows.

Michael

Your kind of thinking is one of the reasons Vietnam turned out like it
did. Read up on Robert McNamara. he tried to manage the war there like
it was a business.
