To all,

We are experiencing a problem which I believe you can help us
with. When we ping the HP3000 from the unix side we receive an answer
and vice versa but when we attempt to telnet to the HP3000 we receive no
answer from the host. It seems as if it is missing some type of file
which enables the connection of the two operating systems or better yet
machines. The message received after the telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is as
follows:

        Trying xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

Also when trying to initiate the telnet command from the HP3000 it
replies unknown command. Is the telnet command a seperate package that
must be installed on the system or is it a part of the operating system
(918RX).

Please offer your assistance.
