I expect that some HP 3000 guru can give you a more accurate and
comprehensive answer, but to get you started, I think that VIEW is the
original name for the forms handling system that became VPLUS/3000. Are you
sure that this isn't what you have. If it is, you want the manual with part
number 32209-90001 "HP Data Entry and Forms Management System (VPLUS/V)".
This is the manual listed in the MPE/iX Documentation Guide, and is
applicable to MPE/V as well as MPE/iX. There isn't a separate VPLUS/iX ,as
far as I know.

BUT! Why are you migrating to an HP 9000? If nobody on the project knows
what VIEW is, do you know what the HP 3000 and MPE can do for you? VPLUS is
one of the older software applications for the HP 3000. It still works fine
with languages such as Transact and Cobol, but there are many, more powerful
tools available to you now. I guess it's too late for you to stop now, and I
am probably reading too much into this, but the impression I get is that
there are few good reasons for taking applications running on a 3000 and
converting them directly to run on a 9000. I'm happy to be corrected on this
point though if people think otherwise!

I Hope that (some of) this helps!

Chris.
