Hi Paul,
Yep, You can do the 'ColdLoad' tape from your machine if I understand
you right... I think it was SysGen in the PUB.SYS that did it... select
'TAPE' option.

NOTE: More importantly... Make *AT LEAST* 2 ColdLoad tapes!!!! I made
3 the last time I did a system upgrade just in case one of 'em went bad!

Subject: Creating a CSLT tape?

I'm planning to upgrade to MPE/iX 5.5 this weekend and being a little
paranoid I've been studying the corresponding manual. I've been reading
the
section about 'backdating', in the event the update does not go well, and I
realized that I do not have a 'CSLT' tape, (The machine came pre-configured
with MPE/iX 5.0 PP6 and I've only added some reactive patches).
Is there a way to create a CSLT tape from the current system?. I was
talking with the RC earlier but I had to end my call because they had a
thunder storm in Atlanta and the RC engineer said he could hear the tornado
sirens. He did indicate that he'd be calling back but it has been over 2
hours and nothing yet.
TIA
Paul H. Christidis
