Bruce Conrad asks:
- I have (well, my employer does) 2 HP 3000's, a 995 and a 987. I'm
- trying to print on the 987, a file using an environment file (to=20
print
- landscape), something like this:
-
- File Filename;Dev=3DLP;ENV=3DEnvfile.HPEnv.Sys;cctl
- Print MyFile,*Filename
-
- This already works fine on the 995, but not on the 987.
- {I've restored the ENV file from the 995 to the 987.}
-
- I didn't create the ENV file - don't know how to. Is there somethin=
g
- I'm missing to make this ENV work?
You need the VFC (Vertical Format Control) File(s) associated with your=20
environment file(s). You can locate these using TTUTIL on the 995. Enter=20
the ENV Filename, choose V[iew] for File Option, and V[FC definition] for G=
o=20
To Form. This will bring up a screen with the VFC Filename, and its=20
definitions. Just DSCOPY the missing VFC Files to your 987.
Alternatively, you can find all files with TYPE =3D TVFC and DSCOPY them.=20
These files should be in the same GROUP as your ENV files, traditionally=20
PUB.SYS.
TTUTIL is documented in: Customizing Terminal and Printer Type Files With=20
the Workstation Configurator, Customer Order Number: 5959-2870. This=20
manual, unfortunately, is not included on LaserRom.
