A few weeks ago, there was a short thread where reference was made to 2001 A
Space Odyssey."  In a private ceremony in Sri Lanka this past Friday, Arthur C.
Clarke the author of "2001, A Space Odyssey" was finally knighted, over two
years after the title had been conferred upon him by Queen Elizabeth.
