Hi all,

We have a HP3000/979 with several DTC/16. These are the older DTC that have
RS232 connections. In a couple of locations we have to use line drivers to
span the distance between the DTC and terminal. Our tech. has asked if
RS422 connection could be used. Apparently RS422 can travel a much greater
distance. then a RS232.

RS232 use pins 2,3,7 as send, receive, ground
RS422 use pins 15,17,19,25 as send, send, receive, receive, not sure what
ground is.

Can a DTC16 port be configured to handle RS422 and how do I configure it?

Thanks for your time and help.
