Actually there is already(I think) a file in the LISTF.VESOFT called
MAXSPACE that sorts by sectors from Largest to Smallest...

Richard,

try HELP SORT in MPEX.

Using this info, you may change N2.LISTF.VESOFT appropriate and keep it
under another name.

I just did this for own curiousity "quick & dirty"; here the changed file
and the output:

<first lines remained unchanged>
<instead of the original FOR statement>:
FOR RFILE IN MPEXFILESET
SORT (SECTORS:'DESC')
<DO and rest unchanged>

Now in MPEX (modified N2.LISTF.VESOFT file name is SIZE.SCHMIDA.SYS):
listf @,size.schmida.sys

Subject: [HP3000-L] MPEX LISTF command question.

Is there a way to to do a LISTF using MPEX that sorts the output by
sectors and if so, can you give me an example? I have been looking at
there help and haven't been able to figure it out.

Thanks
Richard
