a snipped I copied from some HP documentation years ago, for the <esc>&l#H 
printer selection codes.

0  =    prints or ejects current page
1  =    Tray 2
2  =    manual feed, paper
3  =    manual feed, envelope
4  =    Tray 1
5  =    Tray 3
6  =    Envelope Feeder
7  =    auto select
8  =    Tray 4
20-69 = external trays

 Not under warrantee, and probably written long before any of your current 
printers existed.

I am trying to locate documentation for input trays on a HP Laser Jet M601 
printer.

What I'm looking for, specifically, is input tray specifications that I 
believe are in the firmware.

We are using a driver file to print pages to specific trays.

For a Laser Jet P4015 printer, looking at the front of the printer you see 
input trays 02, 03, 04, 05.
But the printer knows them as input trays 01, 05, 08, 20.

Where can I find those specs for the M601 printer?

I don't have access to any of the documentation, this printer is at an 
off-site location.
