... and a well written message at that. Thanks to all involved in getting the
message out. I'd like to have read it prior to getting and returning my
ballot. I don't expect that it would've change my vote in this particular
case, but it would've helped the understanding a lot. I've a few quick
comments and questions.

  1) Just as Stan said, those 4 appointed directors (as well as the 3 elected
ones) are open for reappointment immediately upon the ends of their
respective terms. The FAQ needs to be changed. Perhaps what the FAQ
says was what was originally intended, but it didn't happen.
  2) Twice it was claimed that the 4/3 appointed/elected split is a legal
requirement for a parent/subsidiary structure. I'm really not very well
versed in the legalities involved. Could some one explain why it is
necessary to have a (potentially, at least) self-perpetuation board to
accomplish this purpose and what the advantages of said structure are?
  3) To those who are leaving Interex because its abandoning its roots, I'd
like to say "wait just a moment while I have a word with someone." MPE
Forum, where are you?!?! This would be a wonderful time to say, "Yes,
Interex is expanding to include things you never thought it would, but
the MPE Forum was created to be what the whole of Interex was originally.
We will be your advocates. We will push the 3000. We will encourage
RUGs and not leave them to flounder" and Interex should pat them kindly
on the back and say "Good job, that was the plan. Here, have some funds
     to make it happen."

Just my nickel-and-a-half,
Ted

I cannot judge my work while I am doing it. I have to do as painters do,
stand back and view it from a distance, but not too great a distance. How
great? Guess.
