Rancho has an LVD to HVD SCSI converter. Is it true that I can take any Seagate or IBM SCSI disk drive and hook it up to the HP3000 in a JBOD configuration, plug in the LVD to HVD converter and configure the disks with drivers of the same size as my disks and it will work?

Does the HVD10 storage disk system require a particular driver or patch and will it work under MPEiX 5.5 powerpatch 7.0? Can I put 15,000 rpm drives that are presently available in it? Does anyone have an idea of the cost of the HVD10 (with or without the disks) and if the drives are software mirrored with 2 JBOD, are the drives hot swappable?
