I have been trying to find a way to move a file from one folder in windows to another using ftp in a batch process.

Rename does not seem to want to work across windows folders.

I don't want to copy and delete, if the copy fails for some reason the delete will go on and we lose the file.
If the move works we want the file to be gone and appear in the new folder.

This has to be automated as part of a job rather than have a person do it each time.
