After some hacking, Lars Appel's popular HP3000 Web
Server Starter Kit is now available for download, instead
of asking Lars to ship DDS tapes...

The download includes a small program called TapeCopy,
which allows you to create a :STORE tape from a data
file, and the data file itself.

Both are available in both Reflection/Labels and Binary
FTP formats.

If you don't yet have a web server running on your
HP3000, and would like the Freeware Server found
on Jazz, without the mess, as well as the Lynx Browser
(for terminal and termulator users who don't have browsers)
and sample pages, then you can download it (for free, of course!)

Once downloaded, it will be up and running in less than
an hour!

Currently, my site is the only site with the kit, however,
Kim Harris will be mirroring it in the UK for our European
friends soon (I'll post the URL when Kim lets me know
what it is), and we're hoping for a couple of more sites
to mirror as well (if you're interested, please reply by
private e-mail - I can FTP the package to you.)

For information, and to download the package, go to:

    http://www.idpnet.com/HP3000/

If you have any trouble with the site, please let me
know.

Have Fun
Joe Geiser
