Slow FTP Open

I am using the HP3000 FTP to open an NT server. When I type the OPEN
command it takes a long time to get an actual connection. I have tried
this connection from both PCs and another NT server and the connection
is much faster. Also when doing an mput from the HP3000 to NT server it
is very slow.

Anybody shed any light on what my be happening.
