I read your post a little more carefully - and you're right - you did 
refer to the specific set and made the recommendation to do nothing - 
exactly as I had made earlier,  if there was no large volumes of adds 
or deletes.

What I question is your statement that Howmessy has not been updated 
for mpe/ix, followed in the next breath by a suggestion to disregard 
its specific figures for that master.

It can very easily lead one to conclude that Howmessy is old, 
obsolete, and not worthy of consideration - which is very far from factual.

So, sorry for too quickly reading your post.

But, Howmessy ROCKS - and thanks to Robelle for an outstanding tool 
for the HP3000.
