Here is our small script we use for all mailings. Subject and message
changes
! SETVAR MAILFROM valteksitename
 ! setvar mailsubject "Partial Backup"
 ! continue
 ! run mail.pub.env &
 ! ;info='-m backmail.data &
 ! -t !sysopremailadr &
 ! -c !sysmgremailadr'

in a global script we set:
valteksitename unique to the server
sysopremailadr the email address of the operations group
sysmgremailadr' the email address of the system manager
MAILSMTPHOST spvex1 << the external local smtp server>>
MAILTZOFFSET 7 << hour zulu time offset>>

Each job stream is modified for just the following:
mailsubject is the subject of the mail
backmail.data is the file containing the mail message.
The program mail.pub.env was downloaded from ftp.telemon.com
<ftp://ftp.telemon.com>

Yes we have no inbound mail but it is great for sending mail out

I know this is not a directly Powerhouse related question,
so please excuse
me, but I have not listed with the Mpe/HP forum yet.

We're trying to find a tool that can automatically email
client(s), via
Groupwise, when a certain job has completed - AND pass on
relevant
                information about the job.

Has anyone done something like this? If so, how, what tool
used,
                installation procedure, etc.

I know of Sendmail/iX. Is this the tool?

                Thanks for your time.

                Regards,
                Fernando
