Hello Friends:

Steve Hanson of Speedware asked in public about the "third party HP 3000
newsletter." That would be us, well on the way into our third year of
delivering HP 3000 news. We're looking for some sites now who are using
Java/iX in production projects on HP 3000, and gathering data on what looks
like one of the biggest HP 3000 systems outside of HP going online to
replace a mainframe, at Southwest Airlines. Look for news of the 5,000-user
system in our February issue. (And if you've got more people than that
accessing one IMAGE database, we'd like to hear about it!)

We also got word through the rumor mill yesterday that one of the two DDX
bug fix patches has gone into general release. More details will surface
out on the list soon, or you can read about it in the February NewsWire.
