That's what I thought also (the profile, not the DTR!), so I am using the
same profile for both DTC's.  It doesn't help.

I've been told privately that the card in my DTC 48 labelled 'MODEM' is
*really* a modem card and that I need to cross-connect pins 2 and 3 to make
the printer work.  Sounds right to me.  I was used to the DTC 16 where I
could configure (via NMMGR) the ports as modem or direct connect on the fly.
I'm going to try a null-modem connector and see if that helps.
