Does anyone have a recommendation for a GOOD asynchronous modem that I can hook up to our HP-3000? We have modems that are several years old and I believe that at least some of them are going "belly up." I also believe that these modems were intended to be used by a PC or terminal user and were never intended to be left on 24 X 7. The bottom line is: we're looking for a good-quality modem, reasonably priced that is heavy duty enough to be turned on permanently. Please note that this is NOT an invitation for every off-the-wall modem vendor or fly-by-night computer store to flood my mailbox with worthless spam. If you've used it and it works well and you feel like passing on your advice to a fellow sysadmin, please do; otherwise, my delete key works just fine...

Thanks for your help!
