We have a printer on which we print using Direct IP printing (npconfig) in
Brazil. When we STARTSPOOL the
printer we get the following messages.
BR/SYS(MANAGER)/PUB>startspool s6
11:17/112/Output spooler, LDEV #45: Started.
11:17/112/Output spooler, LDEV #45: SNMP error SNMP_NoSuchName reported
while retrieving printer status.
Native Mode Spooler message 9656
11:17/112/Output spooler, LDEV #45: Cannot communicate with network
printer.
Check network xport config, NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS, xport and links started
status,
intermediate network, and printer status.
Native Mode Spooler message 9662
BR/SYS(MANAGER)/PUB>
We can PING the printer fine but it looks like the "dialogue" between
printer and HP3000 is just not
happening. AFAIK, the config on the printer has not been changed.
Any advice?
Mark.
