Hello 9x7 users.

I have installed an internal ST19171N disk drive as the 5th drive (LDEV 5)
in a 957RX cabinet. It is positioned in the right hand cage above the 1st
drive (LDEV 1) and below the internal DDS tape drive. The other three
drives are in the left hand cage. The drive is physically present in the
configuration but not accessible (it does not show in a DSTAT) because of
an AVR error on initialization. Is the operating system expecting a second
DDS tape drive in this physical position? The disk drive is on SCSI channel
1 and is not terminated.

This is the first 9GB disk drive I have installed and the first time I have
tried to install a 5th internal disk drive in an RX cabinet so I am unsure
if it is a disk problem or a physical connection limitation of the cabinet.

Can anyone provide guidance on this situation?

Thanks,
