I was pretty sure that's what HP did with "Resolution Enhancement
technology" (REt) -- at least, the part about the different sizes of
dots.  However, it looks like they've "overloaded" the term, so that
I'm unable to locate this info quickly.

Specifically, between "Image REt" and "C-REt" (where C==Color), I'm
unable to find info on the original REt.  (For the colour version,
they layer the dots, offsetting some in the process.  This is not
at all what the original REt was about.)
