8 x 64MB simms = 4 x 128MB Modules = 2 x Pairs of Modules
Pairs must be installed first, so you added your 512MB module in the correct
slots. Your problem could be faulty memory or the firmware of your 979 does
not support 512MB modules. Also let you vendor confirm they supplied the
proper replacement for A3737A - 512 MB memory board for K class Servers.
