Got one (or two ;). Also have the key for any Series 37 and the key for
the back of any of the 7925 or Series III cabinets. :)

Of course! :) Still handy too.

I frequently find myself having unix types look at me funny when I say
"dollar standard list" or "dollar standard in" instead of "standard out"
and "standard in" respectively. Most of them just chuckle and make the
translation when I do it anymore. :)

And AQ for those "I really don't have time to even write down that I have
to do this *NOW* kinds of things". :)

>4. To you a 'Root File' isn't something in C:/. +10 points.

Unix has a root directory, but only MPE/Image has a root file. :)

Talk about *ugly*! I *really* wanted a 2645 back when I got to "move up"
to the 2624B. :)
I never did find a place to use my cartridge tapes on any of those
newfangled terminals. Bummer too, since that meant that not only couldn't
I have typeahead on my terminal anymore but I couldn't play Pong or
Drive'em either. (Hi, Larry! I wonder what ever happened to Greg. :) I
keep the cartridge tapes in an old business card box along with the 264x
function key label overlays (some of which are preprinted with ENTRY,
FORMSPEC and other labels and several of which were originally blank...
about half never written on.... Oh... and my Bradmark Triva
cards. "Woodgrain?!?!?" LOL :)

>7. Have a complete set of "Communicators". + 10 points.

Only the ones before those available on http://docs.hp.com

>8. Know what a 'bit bucket' is. + 5 points.

Well, sure. Still dump bits in it pretty often. :)

>8. bonus, Actually emptied a bit bucket. + 5 points.

Bah... That's OP work. ;)

Would that be a $NULL question since I knew the other answers? :)

>9. You did a MDL-'DL-1'+2 from memory. + 10 points.

OK. So I don't remember *everything* there ever was to know about MPE. :)

>9. bonus, Actually had a soft key programmed for this. + 5 points.

Programmed lots of soft keys though. Even figured out the difference
between "normal", "local" and "transmit" modes.

Never did much database driving in PM (though I flipped my fair share of
bits in databases using the diskeditor on classics. I even remember
repairing a few Image databases by moving them from MPE/XL to MPE/V so I
could hack on them easier. (I suppose I just hadn't gotten around to
learning Debug/XL well enough yet. Don't think I would do that today. ;)

>11. You know how many lights on a Series 70 CIR indicate the system is

Who decided that wasn't a way handy thing on a computer anyway! (Besides
taking that and the toggle switches made running TAPETEST in batch mildly
inconvenient. Had to resort to debug instead of just pressing the right
button on the CPU to start, stop and rewind the tapedrive. ;)

>11. bonus: You can name the lights. +5 points.

Sure. Tad, Alice, Mary, Bob and Joe Bob Bubba Junior. :)

Somehow I managed never to have to learn to be a Cog who Knows how to use
that particular tool in all these years. :)
