As I recall, OUTSPTJ.PUB.SYS is the "driver" that talks to
the LJs. It has(had) a few hard coded escape sequeces that it
prepended to all spoolfiles. Your ENV file would go next, and
most likely starts with escape,E to reset the presviously
sent default sequece.
I thought that MPE 7.5 has a patch that finally removed
or has option to remove that default.
So depends on your MPE version.
Yep, just looked at PCLELITE.HPENV.SYS
FCOPY FROM=PCLELITE.HPENV.SYS;TO=;CHAR;HEX
It starts with escape,Z,escape,E resets.
