I was standing just outside the window, eavesdropping on somebody's
private
conversation, when I heard....

Stan's memory is far too good. Yes - I'm the guy who developed the
POSIXCBT. (Is that a good thing or a bad thing?) :^)

The tool that I used was a 3rd party package called "Authology." There
were two parts to it - the authoring part, and the delivery part. The
authoring portion ran under MS/DOS (version 5.0, I think). The
attractive thing about authology was that it let you develop on MS/DOS,
and then deliver the training on your choice of platforms. There
were training delivery programs for MS/DOS, HP-UX, and MPE/iX, among
others; we bundled the MPE version with 4.5, and I suppose it's still
being
distributed with every HP 3000 today.

Now for the bad news. I'm reasonably certain that the people who
developed
Authology (American Training International, Inc.) got out of the
Authology
business back in 1994 or 1995. (They still maintain a website is at
www.atitraining.com, but my copy of Netscape aborts every time I go
there...)
