If you have an application written in Transact, the demise of the 3000 does
not mean your application dies also.

There is a tool that will convert the Transact source code directly to COBOL
which can then be ported easily to other platforms such as Linux, UNIX and
others.

This tool was recently used to rehost a large application in the auto
industry from HP3000/TurboIMAGE to Linux/Oracle.
