Beg, borrow, or buy a copy of The Legacy Continues, an HP Professional
book by Prentice Hall, written by Yawn, Stachnik, and Sellars. And read
it, too ;-) .The subtitle is Using the HP 3000 with HP-UX and Windows
NT. Its a heterogeneous world out there, and I doubt that that will ever
change. Don't jump off to those boxes, integrate with them; that's the
way things are moving. They all do some things well, and other things
badly. And learn POSIX; that is useful on the three platforms that you
list.
