Alan,
I apologize, I confused your original message with a discussion about moving
from PC based to Host based DTC mgr.
It was never possible to share a DTC between a host based HP3000 and a PC based
HP3000. A Host based system would only connect with the DTC's downloaded from
that Host based system.
Now the 5.5 communicator documents Terminal Switching on Host-Based DTC Ports.
This changes the picture somewhat and does not leave many reasons for the PC
based DTC Manager product's existence!
I have not tried this and cannot comment on how well it works. You are going to
end up being the test case! Let us know what you find.
