Last I checked, most taxes were not voluntary and there is no checkoff system
to indicate how/where you want your tax dollars spent. The result is what we
continue to have the dysfunctional system that we have now. Everyone gets a
minimal say (1 vote) in how we spend everybody else's money via elected
politicians who get votes by spending other people's money.
