Hello,

I am usually not one to respond to messages, but this is one I feel the
need. First Visual FoxPro is almost as easy as Access, Several times
faster than Access/VBA and is an excellent client and or server in a
client server environment. I think the whole HP3000/9000 discussion you
people have been having is much like the FoxPro/Access discussion in other
lists.

Second, at my shop we download the information via FTP and import them
into FoxPro. This means, yes the data is not live, but it also means we
are able to process the information to help the end users report better.
Yes, we have users who have picked up and in some cases excelled in the
use of FoxPro.

It is sad that management in other organizations force the MS/Access
solution when they have no technical expertise. Once again, I relate to
the HP3000 crowd.

I will continue to work with our vendor of AMISYS to get a true C/S
environment going, since our FTP solution will not provide full access
that we need. Somethings can't wait a week!

Tak,

Peter
